I contributed some evil visual projections to A$AP Rocky’s “Wassup” video by Andy Capper, Jacob Burghart and A$AP Rocky himself.
Harlem rap sensation A.$.A.P Rocky just teamed up with global media sensation VICE after a chance meeting with Global Editor Andy Capper at the Vice office in Brooklyn. Rocky pitched a vision of a video to Andy which took elements from his five favorite movies, namely Scarface, Belly, Enter The Dragon, The Warriors and, of course, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.

I created visuals for the studio at East Village Radio, a live internet radio station located on First Avenue and First Street in New York City. These visuals run on a loop all day and night, can be seen from the street and appear in virtually every photo and video that gets taken in the studio.

“Autre Ne Veut came to 350 Broadway and threw down a seriously awesome performance. His intense, harried style of R’n’B was perfect for the intimate setting of the store, an effect which was enhanced by the candlelit ambiance of it all. He played songs old and new, including some that haven’t even been released yet.” – Whole Milk
I performed live visuals in collaboration with Eric Drasin on December 16th, 2011 at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar, presented by Brooklyn Vegan. Our pal Zephyr Prusinski operated the camera while Eric and I jammed on visuals. Later, I combined a recording of our output along with audio from the soundboard to create this instant music video of Big Troubles performing “Make It Work”.

Noisey wrote about Long Distance Poison and ran a photo of mine along with this video of my very first performance with Long Distance Poison at The School House.
“Though a lot of folks might consider drone and sound art to be the least musical music you could make, I often find that freaky experimental improvisers are the ones most knowledgeable and wide-ranging about all kinds of pop. It’s like they pushed so far into music nerddom that they popped out on the other side of the wormhole and then channel sounds from a musical bizarroverse.” – Nat Roe, Noisey
