More than a record review, I used this opportunity to convey a brief history of Cambodia’s great rock n’ roll scene in the 1960s through 1975. It’s a chapter in pop music history that’s very close to my heart.
Live visuals for a show curated by Less Artists More Condos at St. James Church in Manhattan featuring Real Estate, The Beets, Beach Fossils, The Tony Castles and Total Slacker on January 18th, 2010.

This show quickly became notorious after hysterical allegations of wild hipsters desecrating arose following the show. I wrote an article for Vice that helped clarify exactly what happened that night (or maybe not). Read THE BEETS ARE GOING TO HELL over at Vice.
In any event: this church was a spectacular environment to perform live visuals in.
